Missing In Action

Ring the clarion loud and clear
Send for the alphabet, please
A letter has disappeared
At last count there were only 25
It is gone forever or does it survive?

I searched all about and scoured for clues, but listen dear children; here’s the sad news…
Kindergarten will never be the same
Oh! What a disheartening shame!
The alphabet song now defunct
Educators declaring the curriculum a hunk of junk
I probed the tube and the airwaves as well thus far, this is the best I can tell; my conclusion? Pure collusion by the media, for it’s coming up in, How ya doin’? Slowin’ this and bein’ there
And I’m in despair
Not to mention becuz, gonna and gotta

Oh talking heads! What have you done with my beloved G!

And our beautiful, beautiful vocabulary?
