God Bless the USA…

Yes! We are at war with other countries
But, what about the warfare right here at home
We seem to be sending all our prayers over seas
And then we are left standing here, prayer- less and alone

On the West Coast it’s Raging Fires that take us out
The Flames wipe out entire cities with one “blast”
On the East Coast we have dreadful floods as the enemy
It’s just like those biblical stories from the past

In the Central Regions of the United States we live in,
It’s the children who have gone astray
I mean our schoolyards have become their battlefield
They’re lucky to even make it thru the day

In the Southern areas, well its no better
I suppose the term “Dirty South” has its proper place
The cookin may be down home, and the hospitality may be just right
But, as far as we’ve come, they still judge you by your race

The US News is no longer about general information
It’s filled with statewide outbreaks, amber alerts, and daily deaths
Our 50 American states seem to each have their own scarlet letter
I mean there seems to be no real safe place left

I can honestly say America is plummeting quit quickly
I mean it seems we all need Military training of some kind
You’re not safe on the school bus, metro, or even in the mall
And even just a daily stroll brings thoughts of an attack to your mind

I honestly don’t know if there is anything we can do
I truly don’t know if there is anything we can say
I ‘ll continue to ask God to protect all the countries out there
But I’m especially praying that … God Bless the USA…
