PROFESSION
Two dinosaurs arrive -- carried in one hand
by paleontologist “Jackson” age four and a half.
One Triceratops -- One Tyrannosaurus rex.
Battle ensues with suitable grunts and groans.
First one is down – then the other.
An equal opportunity battle. Finally Tyrannosaurus
Rex is victorious and given a place of honor
atop Triceratops.
“They liked to fight each other” Jackson announces -
adding “One eats meat and the other is a vegetarian.”
Paleontology 101.
With victor and vanquished languishing on the table
Jackson instructs “Papa” to draw them.
Crayons and blank sheet of paper are provided.
“Papa” carefully selects one red and one green crayon.
Green for the adversaries – red for their blood.
Papa Picasso carefully examines the two prehistoric warriors
Than places crayon to paper to reconstruct
their epic battle.
Painting complete - Jackson examines it carefully – then
turns to stare intently at Papa. “Papa” Jackson says
then pausing adds “You really can’t draw?”
A paleontologist suddenly transformed into a budding
critic of the arts.
