Leaf Cutter Ants

Leaf cutter ants are so determined
Sometimes people call them vermin.

Cutting leaves of all sorts
And then carrying them back and forth.

Lifting more than we could lift, if we were all that size,
If they could do our games, I bet they’d win a prize.

I think we should recognize these ants,
Holding, carrying, tearing plants.
